Intelerad Medical Systems has incorporated an optional Mammo Reporting Module into its InteleRIS 8.224, the latest edition of the company’s Radiology Information System. Other new features include enhanced scheduling, complete-and-hold function for technologists, patient-signed outside prior requests, and the ability to import PDF reports from outside systems via HL7.

The Mammo Reporting Module simplifies back-office procedures for breast imaging clinics by allowing them to track patients more easily. The add-on integrates smoothly with InteleRIS and facilitates appointment booking, results printing, and data entry via a set of Breast Imaging Reporting and Data System (BI-RADS) worksheets.

“Our goal with this latest version of InteleRIS is to further automate and simplify procedures to drive efficiency within radiology practices,” said Todd Davis, Intelerad’s Chief Clinical Systems Officer. “As we move forward with this solution, we will be adding more self-service elements to reduce the workloads of front-office staff and help organizations attract patients and referring physicians who are interested in managing their appointments online.”

To that end, Intelerad will roll out a new scheduling portal at RSNA. The addition lets patients and their physicians view appointment history, schedule check-ups, and complete pre-appointment paperwork from home.
