Richmond, VA-based Allison Breast Center is the first U.S. facility to offer osteoporosis testing together with mammography screening. Using Sectra OneScreen from international medical imaging IT company, Sectra, women can now receive osteoporosis testing via a simple hand x-ray taken at the conclusion of their screening mammography.
“We have accomplished an important core value of providing low radiation dose of breast and bone. Additionally, the ability to provide an inexpensive and convenient method of determining osteoporosis risk is a competitive advantage for our practice,” said Gillian Bigg, SRN, General Manager, Allison Breast Center.
