RadsBest, a mobile radiology app from Medocratic LLC designed to help physicians manage findings, has released a new version. The app is now available as a free download for iOS devices from the Apple app store.

Medocratic founder Roy Kwak, MD, designed the tool in response to research showing that radiologists don’t incorporate published guidelines and consensus statements into their reports as often as they might. The app works offline using a tap-based interface, and aggregates a range of tools, including ACR white papers on the management of incidental findings, management of contrast reactions, premedication for contrast allergies, and TNM staging for many cancers.

“As radiologists, we’re really focused on the ‘fifth monitor’ and its potential to revolutionize healthcare,” Kwak said. “Our mobile tools align the often skewed goals of helping physicians do their jobs more easily, more efficiently, and with improved quality. This new version will help us reach more radiologists and help them craft more consistent, actionable, useful reports.”

Version 1.1 has been redesigned for iOS7 and allows users to log in through Doximity, LinkedIn, and Facebook. The tool includes in-app purchasable upgrades, but does not contain ads or promotional content. Kwak regularly adds new tools through the cloud.
