PACSGEAR Inc., of Pleasanton, Calif., today announced an agreement that will place the MammoViewer from Three Palm Software, of Los Gatos, Calif., onto the company’s MediaWriter DICOM CD/DVD burning solution.
MammoViewer, an application designed specifically for viewing mammography images, will now be included on CDs, DVDs, and portable media to let patients and physicians view mammography images and electronic markers generated by computer-aided diagnosis applications.
“Creating standards-based CDs and DVDs using the IHE Mammography Image Profile is a great example of how PACSGEAR’s products can work in tandem with emerging electronic health records,” said Brian J. Cavanaugh, PACSGEAR president.
