After an evaluation of seven PACS suppliers, Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington, Ontario, ordered Carestream’s Vue PACS and zero-footprint Vue Motion mobile image viewer to provide on- and off-site reading and viewing of images and reports by radiologists, clinicians, and referring physicians.
The advanced reading tools available to radiologists from workstations at any location were a deciding factor, according to Brian Chan, director of clinical diagnostics.
Vue PACS provides image review, management, distribution, and archiving, delivering access to 3D reading tools, an optional lesion management module, and viewing of all digital mammography modalities including FFDM, breast ultrasound, breast MRI, and digital breast tomosynthesis on a single workstation platform. This can help eliminate the expense and inconvenience created by requiring radiologists to switch between workstations from multiple vendors.
