The Barking, Havering and Redbridge University Hospitals Trust (BHRUT) in London has awarded the IT and medical technology company Sectra a five-year contract to supply a breast imaging PACS. The investment will allow BHRUT to improve its services to the women participating in the Trust’s breast screening program. The solution will facilitate fast and efficient reading of screening mammograms, which will improve the breast screening service to the 72,000 women examined each year. The new system will allow for seamless integration with other Sectra PACS sites through the use of cross platform workflow which enables regional sharing of images.
