binarycode_1PACS vendor ASPYRA LLC, of Jacksonville, Fla, is reporting tremendous anticipation for its upcoming release of Version 7 of its AccessNET, AccessMED, and AccessMED Lite PACS products.

According to the company, clients have already requested to be scheduled for the upgrade, which features enhancements such as a guest portal and multiplanar reconstruction and maximum intensity projection capabilities.

“With the increasing focus on patient satisfaction in the industry, the guest portal is high on the customers’ list of desired features,” said Danny Chin, PACS operations manager. “The Guest Portal does not count against the customer’s user licenses, provides patients and referring physicians access to specific exams for a specified timeframe, and protects the facility’s data from accidental change. One customer in New York who saw it pointed out that this was ‘way better’ than the application they are currently using to share exam images with patients.”

“ASPYRA did a preview of the new guest portal and had the highest turnout for the webinar of any we’ve done,” said Joy Wallace, customer care lead. “We’ve had multiple customers asking us how they can get it, when can they be scheduled for it, and if they could give their physicians a look at it ahead of time.”
