Mediware Information Systems Inc. has launched SpectraSoft Radiology Scheduling software, a Web-based system created to enhance staff efficiency, reduce patient no-shows and increase return on investment for equipment.
The software features phase scheduling, enabling staff to see the status of any patient in real time. As a result, the system speeds handoffs and reduces equipment turnaround time. It also can predefine complex procedures that require multiple steps, scheduling them in one command and therefore minimizing human error. Other functionality includes the ability for users to drag and drop or cut and paste appointments on the fly, which allows clerical staff to accommodate urgent requests from the ER or unexpected events. Appointment reminders are fully automated and sent via text, phone and e-mail.
