The Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital in east Texas has installed its third Kalare x-ray system from Toshiba America Medical Systems to provide pre- and post-operative care to patients in its gastrointestinal (GI) lab and shorten exam times.

“We’ve been long-term partners with Toshiba and have experienced their tailored service and support with two existing Kalare X-rays,” said Freddie Gibson, director of medical imaging services at Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital. “When we needed a new x-ray for our renovated GI lab, it was a no-brainer to select Toshiba’s Kalare. The Kalare is extremely user-friendly and offers outstanding image quality, making exams easier for technologists to perform and provide more accurate diagnoses in less time.”

The Kalare R&F x-ray is designed as a one-system approach to manage a diverse patient load. The system provides complete digital imaging for fluoroscopic and radiographic examinations, while its high resolution and removable field-of-view digital detector allow images to be captured and rapidly displayed on dedicated digital workstations.

“Purchasing imaging equipment is a significant investment for any healthcare facility,” said David Sloop, director of the x-ray vascular business unit at Toshiba. “That’s why it’s important for hospitals to not only select the most advanced technology, but purchase equipment from a company that puts its customers first in offering service, training and education throughout the life of the system.”
