The ImagePilot Aero, the Konica Minolta DR system introduced in summer 2013 and featuring the AeroDR wireless flat panel detector, is now available throughout Latin America, excluding Brazil.
The detector panel can withstand up to 660 pounds to accommodate very large patients, while the 14-inch-by-17-inch panel detector weighs only 5.7 pounds for simple maneuvering. The AeroSync feature enables automatic X-ray detection for integration with most X-ray systems, and the AutoPilot automatic image processing feature improves image quality. According to the company, several market research firms have predicted that Latin America’s X-ray market will expand at a compound annual growth rate of 5% annually through 2018.
