San Diego Imaging (SDI), a 60-member radiology group, has selected the Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform from Mach7 Technologies, Burlington, Vt, as its vendor neutral archive (VNA) and communications workflow system. SDI will also adopt the company’s physician and patient portal to enable secure data sharing among referring physicians, clinicians and patients.

SDI recently merged with North County Radiology Medical Group and has been tasked with integrating data from separate systems. “The Mach7 VNA and communications workflow engine allow us to break down the barriers between disparate departmental PACS. Mach7’s platform gives our team the ability to link all images, pictures, videos, and exam data to the patient’s record from one consolidated archive,” said Richard Elwell, systems administrator at SDI. As SDI continues to expand, patient information from new sites and affiliated hospitals will be imported accordingly.
