Dicom Systems announced the addition of Foundation Radiology Group to its client roster. Foundation Radiology Group is a Pittsburgh-based radiology practice that brings the expertise of a team of imaging experts to community hospitals across Pennsylvania and the surrounding states. Foundation was seeking a technology solution to enhance the retrieval, transport, and standardization of DICOM data from their hospital partners.
After an extensive RFP process, Foundation found the DCMSYS DICOM and HL7 router to be the best solution. Dicom Systems was able to demonstrate improved prior exam prefetch by customizing queries to remote PACS systems, reducing the need for staff intervention, and improved network utilization. The Dicom Systems router also displayed strength in transformation of DICOM elements and has greatly reduced efforts required to ensure data is properly stored with in Foundation’s core systems without intervention. Dicom Systems scripting tools allow Foundation to easily accommodate integration with any PACS and RIS vendor.
