Easier Pediatric Interventions With Toshiba’s Infinix-i

Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc‘s Infinix-i bi-plane cardiovascular x-ray system will be used during three live pediatric cases at the Pediatric and Adult Interventional Cardiac Symposium in Miami. The live cases will be performed on Monday, January 21, 2013, by:

• Miami Children’s Hospital, Miami – Darren Berman, MD
• University of Mississippi Medical Center, Jackson, Miss.– Makram Ebeid, MD

Additionally, the following clinicians utilizing Toshiba systems will deliver presentations during the symposium:

John Cheatham, MD, director, cardiac catheterization & interventional therapy, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, will present on “New innovative equipment design to advance imaging and reduce radiation exposure and effective use of 3DRA in a cardiac O. R. with conventional surgical table”

Evan Zahn, MD, director of the congenital heart program, Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute, will present on “New Insights Learned From 3D Rotational Angiography…Is it worth it?”

Michael de Moor, MD, chief, pediatric cardiology; director, Pediatric Cardiac Catheterizations and Interventions, Floating Hospital for Children at Tufts Medical Center will present on “The Future of Radiation Protection”
