The American Society of Radiologic Technologists, Albuquerque, NM, has expanded its CT Basics series to include two new modules focused on common pathological conditions seen on computed tomography images. The modules provide an overview of how CT images can identify the distinct appearance of pathological conditions and evaluate traumatic injuries. In addition, the modules explore the use of CT and CT volume rendering techniques in the evaluation of abdominal masses, vascular pathologies, calcium scoring and gastrointestinal diseases. The modules incorporate 106 images depicting 43 pathologies.
