tablet_gloveCalgary Scientific Inc has announced that its ResolutionMD medical imaging software has received certification from the Medical Device Control Office within the Department of Health in Hong Kong for diagnosis using Web and mobile devices for all imaging modalities.

The certification allows providers to take advantage of quick, secure mobile access to images and retrieve data from a range of image storage systems from any location.

MDCO certificate follows the FDA Class II clearance in the United States, CFDA certification in China, PDMA certification in Japan, CE marking in Europe, TGA certificate in Australia and Health Canada license. The achievement succeeds the opening of Calgary Scientific’s Asian headquarters in Hong Kong last year.

“Obtaining this MDCO certificate is another significant milestone for Calgary Scientific,” said Pierre Lemire, president and chief technology officer of Calgary Scientific. “We are seeing great demand for ResolutionMD throughout Asia as the adoption of mobile devices continues to grow at a significant pace. I am very pleased that our partners in Hong Kong will now be able to offer a fully accredited web and mobile solution to their healthcare customers.”
