The company demonstrated a variety of solutions that support effective diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, and management of medical conditions.

“At Siemens Healthcare, we are focusing on the development of information technology systems that support our industry-leading imaging, laboratory diagnostics and therapy businesses,” said Gregory Sorensen, MD, president and CEO, Siemens Healthcare North America.  “Our goal is to provide customers with leading-edge solutions to improve the quality and reduce the cost of healthcare today – solutions that lead to better patient outcomes along with greater efficiency.”

Solutions on display included the company’s latest syngo Workflow, an imaging information management system that enhances adoption of dedicated user-centric portals and integrates with the company’s PACS, syngo.plaza. It enables interlinked information, offering a centralized hub for streamlining of daily tasks. Encouraging paperless workflows, Siemens recently released a mobile application and new electronic communication capabilities for this system.

The company also highlighted its “teamplay” cloud-based network, which aims to connect hospitals and healthcare experts. Through the network, which runs on tablets, laptops, and desktop computers, hospitals can analyze their imaging devices in real time and optimize their operations.
