hospital_exterior - usedBroward Health, one of the 10 largest health systems in the United States, has selected Mach7 Technologies, Burlington, Vt, for its enterprise-wide imaging needs.

Comprised of more than 50 healthcare facilities in Broward County, Fla., the integrated delivery network will install the Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform for streamlined study access, sharing, and viewing. Through the technology, Broward Health will have advanced routing and prefetching capabilities, in addition to a mechanism to normalize and translate imaging data. It can also consolidate and standardize image storage and patient data across the enterprise.

“Our collaborative partnership with Mach7 gives Broward Health a comprehensive and robust patient-centered solution that supports broad-scale clinical and business requirements,” said James Orr, Broward Health IT manager. “The vendor neutral archive (VNA) component of Mach7 Enterprise Imaging Platform helps us build the foundation we need to integrate, access, and share imaging studies across all of our facilities.”

The platform’s vendor neutral archive capabilities support DICOM and non-DICOM formats. It will be deployed in front of Broward Health’s existing PACS, therefore enabling the network to enhance clinical workflow and data integrity.
