NEC Display MonitorNEC Display Solutions of America, Itasca, Ill., has announced FDA clearance of its MultiSync MD322C8 LCD, a high resolution display for radiology review applications in healthcare organizations.

Calibrated at the factory to the DICOM grayscale function for luminance, the 32-inch, 8-megapixel monitor offers four times the resolution of full HD.

“The MD322C8 display is a high resolution color clinical display that delivers stellar picture quality,” said Art Marshall, product manager for professional desktop and medical displays at NEC Display Solutions. “It gives medical imaging professionals a tool that enhances accuracy and productivity.”

The monitor also features stable brightness, color accuracy, and high pixel density, in addition to an open pluggable specification-compliant optional slot. Providing institutions with flexibility during installations, the slot is compatible with the company’s 3G, HD, and SDI input cards for connection to live video streams.

The MultiSync display is available at a minimum price of $6,399 and ships with a five-year limited parts and labor warranty, including advanced overnight exchange.
