The American College of Radiology will be hosting its first-ever annual meeting from May 17 to May 21 at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington, DC. Titled “The Crossroads of Radiology,” the meeting will include more than 100 concurrent sessions and general sessions, in addition to a keynote address by retired Gen. Colin Powell.
Open to all ACR members as well as all of radiology, clinical research sessions will guide attendees on how to participate in clinical trials, generate new revenue streams, and demonstrate value. Attendees can earn continuing medical education and self-assessment module credits for maintenance of certification.
“ACR 2015 will help prepare radiology professionals to accurately budget and staff to leverage clinical research opportunities, record and report results, and implement practice quality improvement to deliver next-generation health care,” said Cheri Canon, MD, FACR, chair of the ACR 2015 Program Committee.
Session titles include “Developing a new revenue stream: How practices can prosper from research participation,” “Critical writing, reviewing, and editing health services research on medical imaging,” “Traumatic brain injury: Current practice and research horizons,” “Interventional radiology: Evolution of practice design, education, and impactful clinical research,” and “Molecular imaging in dementia: Clinical research to clinical translation.”
