Sage Health Management Solutions Inc. recently shared that it has been appraised at Level 2 of the CMMI Institute’s Capability Maturity Model Integration. This model represents a capability improvement approach, wherein organizations use effective workflow tools that ultimately boost their performance.
Performed by The Process Group, the appraisal addressed services (CMMI-SVC) as Sage HMS delivers clinical decision support (CDS) for providers when ordering diagnostic tests. The company’s Web services utilize prescriptive and predictive analytics to confirm that patients are evaluated with the most appropriate tests for their symptoms.
“CMMI-SVC has been embraced by the entire staff because it systematized our processes to measure every aspect of our Service Delivery Process with metrics for improvement,” said V. Katherine Gray, president of Sage HMS. “It fits with our data driven culture.”
Organizations that achieve a Level 2 appraisal perform at a “managed” level, where projects involve relevant stakeholders and utilize skilled workers who produce controlled outputs. A Level 2 appraisal also indicates that projects are monitored, controlled, reviewed, and evaluated.
