The IHE North America Connectathon is an annual event hosted by Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) to enable interoperability testing across multiple vendors. At the 2015 gathering, held in late January in Cleveland, Sectra successfully completed testing of the IHE profiles Mammo and Digital Breast Tomosynthesis using the Sectra PACS, which implements the Image Display and Image Manager actors of these profiles.
“Being a pioneer in implementing vendor neutral support for reading Digital Breast Tomosynthesis, it is a natural step for us as to adhere to new standards and technical frameworks,” said Anders Granlund, product manager for Sectra’s breast imaging solutions. “These test results confirm that our breast imaging solution is future proof and will be compliant also with modalities that implement support for this new profile.”
Sectra’s PACS was recently named “Best in KLAS” in the United States and globally in the 2014 Best in KLAS: Software and Services” report. The Sectra Breast Imaging PACS is a web-based workstation that includes advanced diagnostic tools, such as integrated CAD and reporting, which offers a single-system reading environment for mammographers. True multi-modality capabilities allow images from any modality, such as ultrasound, MRI or breast tomosynthesis, to be displayed side-by-side with the mammograms.
