With an eye toward giving its customers’ tools that help them lower dose and improve patient safety, Toshiba America Medical Systems introduced enhancements to its Aquilion One CT line at the recent Radiological Society of North America annual meeting.

New features include AIDR 3D Enhanced, an advanced iterative noise reduction algorithm that improves image quality for low dose CT acquisitions, and the PureVision CT detector, which results in 40% increased light output for better use of X-ray photons. The SurekV feature is designed to provide safer exams and improve workflow with automated kV selection based on patient size. All three features are pending 510(k) clearance.
